Environment

I work with an awareness of the impact that my work has on the environment both local and global. I cannot say that I am completely environmentally friendly, I have a way to go yet. However, I use only FSC certified timber where the choice is available and encourage my clients to not specify endangered species. I avoid manufactured boards that may contain harmful VOCs, where possible. I reuse timber where it is appropriate and advise my clients where this can be the case. I tend to work in natural light in my workshop, using hand tools over powered machinery where the budget and time constraints allows. I am converting to electric transport and using my transport solutions as efficiently as I can.

Studying for my MSc has demonstrated to me how much of an effect we all have on the environment and resources and I make every attempt to play my part in reducing this impact.
